Misty

Meet Misty! This sweet 2-year-old, 55-pound Great Pyrenees mix has a heart as soft as her fluffy coat. Misty is a bit shy at first, but once she warms up to you, she’s incredibly affectionate. She’s happy to coexist politely with cats and makes friends with other dogs easily. Misty would do best in a home with children who are past the younger, more boisterous years.

Ideal Home

Misty would thrive in a home with a fenced yard, which is a non-negotiable requirement. She’ll do best with a family who appreciates a quiet companion and can offer her kindness, patience, and time to adjust. A comfy sofa for napping would be a wonderful bonus!

Ongoing Health

Misty has a mildly collapsing trachea. While this may sound concerning, it simply means she cannot use a collar with a leash. A chest-type harness is necessary for her safety and comfort and will be needed for life. This condition may cause occasional coughing if the harness is not fitted correctly, but otherwise is not an issue.

Training & Support

Misty is generally well-behaved and polite. With continued kindness and patience, she will surely blossom into a confident and loving member of your family.
