Sweet Tayda

Meet Sweet Tayda, our 10-year-old, 70-pound country gal! She's a blast from the past, with a love for Gretchen Wilson tunes and a personality as wild and unchained as her name suggests. Tayda was rescued from a city shelter where her true, rambunctious spirit couldn't be contained. She's a hound lover's dream, funny, happy, and truly glad to be alive! Tayda enjoys tearing apart stuffed toys and keeping her Christmas lights on year-round. She's happiest sleeping in her doghouse with a full belly, but we're dreaming of a forever home where she can be part of a family.

Ideal Home

Tayda is looking for a true hound lover who appreciates her unique personality. She needs a home without cats or small children, as she's been known to get protective of her food. While she prefers to be the only dog, she has tolerated another old hound, Laith, who might even be a bit more of a redneck than she is! We'd be happy to send Laith along with her.

Ongoing Health

Tayda is spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations and parasite treatments. Her adoption fee has been waived.

Training & Support

Tayda is who she is – you won't train the "naughty" out of her, and you shouldn't try to force her to be something she's not. Embrace her wonderfully wild and spirited nature!
