Rusty is a smart, trainable pup who loves to learn, especially with positive reinforcement and tasty rewards. He forms deep bonds with his people and is eager to be your shadow and join in on all your adventures. This energetic boy loves long walks, hiking, interactive play, and training games. He's also highly food-motivated and enjoys having a job to do.

Ideal Home

Rusty would do best in a home with children 8 years and older, or dog-savvy kids who can help him continue to learn good manners. He can become excited around younger children and may jump up, so continued training and redirection are important. Rusty would likely enjoy having another playful dog to share his energy with, but he could also be happy as an only dog with an active family committed to providing plenty of exercise and enrichment.

Rusty is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and on heartworm prevention.

Training & Support

Rusty is housebroken, sits on command, and has excellent recall. He is very trainable and eager to please. He can become excited and may jump up, so continued training and redirection will help him develop into an exceptional companion. His food motivation makes him a great candidate for fun training games and activities.
