Meet Chanel, a resilient 3 to 4-year-old terrier mix who has blossomed into an energetic, happy dog after a difficult start. She was abandoned in a crowded shelter in New Mexico and was even on a euthanasia list before being rescued and brought to Texas. Chanel's incredible transformation includes donating blood to save other animals in need. While she has come so far, she is still working on rebuilding her trust and learning to feel truly safe.
Ideal Home
Chanel is searching for a patient family who can help her rebuild her faith in humanity. She would do best in a home with a canine companion, as she enjoys being around other dogs. She is still learning to play with toys and can be easily startled by loud noises. She is also flinchy when hands reach towards her, so a gentle and understanding environment where she can go at her own pace is essential.
Ongoing Health
Chanel is up-to-date on all vetting, including DAPP, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines. She has also been spayed, is on flea and heartworm prevention, and is microchipped.
Training & Support
Chanel is still working through past trauma and needs continued gentle guidance. She is learning to play with toys and is sensitive to loud noises. Patience and understanding will be key to her continued progress.

Transporation
Chanel is located in Texas. Transportation is available to VA, PA, CT, VT, NY, UT, ID, OR, TX, WA, TN, KY, IN, IL, WI, MN & OH, LA. AZ is coming soon. Transportation includes air-conditioned transport buses or vans with onboard attendants providing 24-hour care. You can follow your pet's journey through a private Facebook Event page. Your adoption coordinator will help you find the closest transport pick-up location. For adopters picking up in Angleton, TX, there is a $75 fee, which includes all vetting. The adoption and transportation fee ranges from $100-$500. Private custom transport routes and destinations are available upon request for an additional fee. Texas adopters have a $250 flat rate fee for transportation within the state.
