Greta is a sweet and gentle Labrador Mix girl, approximately 7 years old and weighing around 66 lbs. She has a loving heart and is house-trained, using a designated area for her business, and is also crate-trained, making her a well-mannered companion. When Greta first meets new people, she can be shy and a little fearful, needing patience and kindness to feel safe. Once she gains confidence, her personality truly blossoms into a super friendly dog who loves head scratches and will often offer her paw in return. Although Greta would do best in a calm and peaceful home, she is still an active dog who enjoys running and moving around, and would love a family that understands her need for both gentle reassurance and regular exercise.
Ideal Home
Greta would do best in a calm and peaceful home with a fenced backyard. She needs an active family that enjoys outdoor activities and has a genuine intention to rescue a dog, understanding the behaviors of rescued street animals and their need for protection and education. Experience in dog behavior and training, or a willingness to hire a trainer, is highly recommended, as is a high tolerance and patience for rescued puppies.
Ongoing Health
Greta is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines including DHPPI and Rabies. She has been dewormed and tested negative for heartworm. She receives monthly preventive protection for fleas, ticks, and heartworm.
Training & Support
Greta is house-trained and crate-trained. However, it is important to understand that rescued dogs may require an adjustment period and might not be house-trained due to their past experiences. Patience and understanding are crucial to help her build trust and strengthen your bond.

- If approved, you’ll sign the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee.
Transporation
Greta is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast on our cross-country trip. Transportation is available door-to-door. We organize 3-4 trips per year with a minimum of 15-20 adoptions per trip. Our contracted transport company based in Montana sends a team to Mexico to collect adopted pets. Each pet is provided with all necessary legal documents, including a Transport Contract, Health Certificate from the USDA, and certificates regarding their health protocol. For US adoptions, pets will be escorted across the border into Texas. For Canadian adoptions, pets will be delivered to the nearest US-Canada border. Real-time updates will be provided through a private Facebook Messenger group with adopters and the transport team, including photos, videos, feeding schedules, and ETA. The transport fee is $400 USD.
