Bear, 66 lbs

Bear is a handsome Newfoundland mix, born around November 2022, weighing in at a surprising 66 lbs. He came to us after his owner sadly passed away and is now looking for a loving family environment to call his own. He was adopted by his previous owner in January 2023. Bear enjoys his peanut butter cookies and is eager to be a wonderful companion. He traveled well with other dogs during his transport and has shown to be good with cats, both in a prior home and during his intake. He is friendly towards people and is comfortable being crated, even letting his needs be known while traveling in his crate.

Ideal Home

Bear would thrive in a home where he can be part of a family again. He has shown he can be good with cats and people. His past experience with dogs was negative with an aggressive dog, but in foster care, he enjoys running and playing at daycare.

Ongoing Health

Bear was neutered and had his dewclaws removed on May 14, 2026. He received his initial vaccines, a heartworm test, parasite prevention, and a microchip. He was also boosted on June 4, 2026.

Training & Support

Bear is house-trained and crated trained. He showed he could communicate his needs while traveling in his crate.
