Xena

Xena is a sweet girl who was wandering around in Maumelle as a stray. A kind human in the neighborhood gave her food and helped her survive the winter storms in early 2026, but was unable to take her in as a pet. He continued to provide her with food, water, and shelter and built up her trust while searching for a rescue to take her in. When he finally found Out of the Woods, we sent a volunteer out to meet her. She was very skittish and ran off immediately, but a few days later she came back to her rescuer and he was able to coax her inside his home and shut the door. When we got back out to meet her, we couldn't believe how sweet she was. She's been through a lot, and is not sure about new people yet, but she is very gentle and submissive and seems to know how to act in a house and car. We're still learning about her, and will be updating her profile as we do, but if she catches your eye please fill out an application and see for yourself why everyone loves her.
