Mia

Mia is a charming 1-year-old Terrier Mix, weighing around 10lbs. She's already spayed and ready to find her forever family! Mia is a newcomer to us, so we're still learning all about her amazing personality. We do know she's likely to be a great fit for a beginner dog owner, as she's expected to be on the lower end of the challenge scale.

Ideal Home

Mia would thrive in a home that can provide her with at least 60 minutes of brisk exercise daily, in addition to shorter potty breaks. She'll also need plenty of opportunities for socialization outside the home and mental stimulation, like training or puzzle toys, to keep her happy and engaged. We are unsure if she would be comfortable in a city environment yet, but most adult dogs adjust well to new surroundings.

Ongoing Health

Mia is healthy and up-to-date on her DHPP, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines. She has also been spayed and microchipped, and was treated with dewormer upon intake.

Training & Support

While we don't have specific details on her training history, we anticipate Mia will likely be house-trained, though occasional transitional accidents are normal in the first week. We are still learning about her interactions with other dogs and cats, but we'll update as we discover more. We believe respectful children ages 8 and up would likely be a safe bet, but all interactions with children must always be supervised.
