Mason

Mason is a 6-month-old, 32-pound Miniature American Shepherd mix who arrived with us on June 11th. He was found in a concrete kennel at the county shelter, waiting for his chance. Initially, everything was unfamiliar and overwhelming for him, especially leashes, crates, and dog beds. He would submissively urinate when worried, often rolling onto his back.

Today, Mason is a much more confident pup! He happily goes into his crate for dinner, has settled in well with other dogs at the rescue, and usually comes when called. He's eager to learn and please his people. He enjoys toys, splashing in the doggy pool, and wrestling with his foster friends.

Ideal Home

Mason would thrive in a home with someone experienced with young dogs or eager to continue his training. A confident, playful canine companion would be a huge plus, as he looks to his best friend, Patty (who came from the shelter with him), for reassurance. He needs a securely fenced yard to expend his puppy energy. He must live in a cat-free home.

Ongoing Health

Mason is fully vetted and on monthly preventatives.

Training & Support

Mason is crate-trained and house-trained. He is also trustworthy when left out of his crate. He is eager to learn and please, but will need continued support to build his confidence.
