About Dolce
Meet Dolce! This one-year-old, 45-pound Staffie mix is a delightful blend of playful energy and laid-back companionship. Dolce hails from Houston and is spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations and preventatives, and absolutely ready to find her forever home. With her soulful eyes and enthusiastic wiggles, she's the perfect mix of spirited pup and cozy best friend.
Dolce enjoys engaging play sessions, especially with dogs her own size. She can be quite energetic, with zoomies and tug-of-war being favorites, but she's also excellent at knowing when to take a break and is mindful of other dogs' cues. After about an hour of high-energy fun, she's content to relax and lounge independently. She meets new dogs off-leash in secure, supervised settings with a sweet and relaxed demeanor.
Her energy levels are adaptable to her surroundings. Dolce is ready for playtime when you are, and she's also a fantastic snuggle buddy for movie nights. While she hasn't been closely exposed to cats, she will announce their presence if she sees them through a window. She hasn't spent extensive time with children, but her gentle and easygoing nature suggests she would likely do well with older, dog-savvy kids.
Dolce walks beautifully on leash without pulling, even when excited. She's a keen observer of squirrels and may patrol fences. She travels well in the car, shows no signs of separation anxiety or potty accidents, and hasn't exhibited destructive behavior when left alone. She is not currently crated in her foster home and enjoys her freedom responsibly.
At her core, Dolce is incredibly sweet, affectionate, and possesses just enough independence to enjoy her own company. She hasn't displayed resource guarding with her foster siblings, though separating food bowls during the transition to a new home is always a wise practice. She can be a bit barky and jumpy when meeting new people and may initially be shy, so slow, calm introductions are key. Once she feels comfortable, she blossoms into a loyal, loving companion eager for adventure.
Ideal Home
Dolce would thrive in a home with a fenced yard where she can stretch her legs. While she appreciates active play, she doesn't require constant high-intensity exercise. She would be happy with a canine sibling or as the sole canine in the household, as she enjoys both playtime and quiet downtime.

Dolce is spayed and up-to-date on all vaccinations and preventatives.
