Jace

Hi there, I'm Jace, a 55-pound bulldog mix with a heart full of love! I'm a sweet, goober-ish boy who lives to snuggle and get belly rubs. I'm also a smart cookie, already knowing "sit," "down," and "leave it." Treats are a great motivator, so I'm sure I could learn even more commands! I love my Kong toys, bones, and stuffed animals. Fetch is fun, though I might not always want to give the ball back, and tug-of-war is a blast! I'll follow you around and happily chill by your side. I don't quite realize I'm not a lap dog, so be prepared for me to try and snuggle up close!

Ideal Home

A home that understands I'm a big goofball who loves to be close to my people. I get nervous around dogs and can guard my food, so I'd do best in a home without other dogs. I'm also cautious around cats if they approach my food.

Ongoing Health

My face will never fill out on one side due to an old injury, but it doesn't affect my loving nature one bit! I've completed heartworm treatment and am neutered and vaccinated.

Training & Support

I'm potty and crate trained and walk well on a leash. I need a patient owner who can help me work through my food guarding and fear-based reactions to other dogs. My past was tough, but I'm ready for a bright future!

I'm currently in Hampton, VA, but I can be transported out of state for the right home. Transport fees may apply if volunteer transport cannot be arranged.
