Cjay is a goofy, loving, and loyal companion who is sure to keep you laughing. He enjoys the great outdoors, going for walks, playing ball, and even running alongside you on a bike ride. When it's time to relax, Cjay is a champion couch potato, happy to cozy up and watch TV. Everyone who meets him falls in love with his vibrant personality. Cjay has been lovingly fostered by a professional trainer and has completed an in-depth board and train program, setting him up for success in his new home. He is looking for an experienced family who can provide consistent, kind leadership. Approved adopters will receive dedicated training sessions to ensure a smooth transition. Cjay's absolute favorite thing to do is play ball while simultaneously rolling in the grass – a truly innovative approach to fun!
Ideal Home
Cjay thrives in a calm, structured home with a strong leader who has a kind heart and maintains consistency in training. He would do best with someone who has experience with big, protective breeds or is eager to learn. An active household where Cjay can join in on adventures or someone who is home often would be ideal. He prefers calm, respectful dogs and requires slow, proper introductions. While Cjay lives with cats and plays with one, gradual introductions are still best. He also lives with a young girl and can do well with children who understand boundaries.
Ongoing Health
Cjay is approximately 10 years old and weighs around 86 pounds. He is generally in great health and his age doesn't slow him down one bit! He can have a sensitive tummy, which is managed with high-quality food and treats, and by avoiding poultry. He sometimes experiences dry eyes, which are easily managed with eyedrops. Cjay is neutered and up to date on vaccinations.
Training & Support
Cjay has benefited from extensive training with a balanced trainer and behaviorist, including a long-term advanced board and train program. He is now a well-trained dog with a strong skillset and is a certified Canine Good Citizen. His trainer will provide sessions to his new family to ensure consistency. He is crate trained and will come with his own Impact crate. Cjay prefers proper introductions to strangers and likes to "high five" new friends for a treat. He does not enjoy overly energetic or jumpy dogs and will vocalize his displeasure if they invade his space.
