Meet Blu!
Blu is a vibrant, approximately two-and-a-half-year-old Boxer/American Pitbull Terrier mix with boundless energy and a big heart. Her beautiful brown brindle coat with white accents is as striking as her personality. She followed a kind soul home from a grocery store and has been showered with loving care ever since. Living with senior dogs and cats, Blu has shown patience and a desire to belong, but she's ready for her own space, a routine, and a family to share her adventures with. At 65 pounds, Blu is affectionate, incredibly smart, and eager to please. Her favorite activities include playing fetch with her frisbee, tug-of-war, chewing on yak cheese, and zooming around the yard. She also enjoys supervised shredding of soft toys and cardboard strips, which has helped channel her natural chewing instincts constructively.
Ideal Home
Blu would thrive in a home with plenty of room to romp and an active family who enjoys an active lifestyle. A fenced yard would be a big plus. She needs a family who has time to include her in their daily routine and can provide her with regular mental and physical enrichment.

Blu has been spayed and vaccinated.
Training & Support
Blu knows an impressive list of commands and responds well to structure, treats, and praise. She is still working through sensitivity to passing cars and men in baseball caps, but has made steady progress with positive reinforcement. She can get excitable and may jump or "cob" (likely a typo and means "climb" or "jump up") on people, though her caregivers have worked to help manage this. When under-stimulated, she can be destructive, making enrichment essential. She is crate-trained and house-trained and has been comfortable being left alone for short periods.
