Wolfie is a stunningly gorgeous and unique about a year old, 63 lb pup with a coat that gives him a very coyote-like appearance. He is a very people-friendly boy who loves kids and has shown no reactivity towards cats or other dogs. Wolfie is an athletic and high-energy dog, rating an 8 out of 10 on the energy scale. He loves life, enjoys joyful play, and is eager for adventures. He's also a big baby who adores kisses, hugs, and snuggles, and he takes treats gently, even high-value ones. Despite spending a good portion of his life in isolation, Wolfie is incredibly smart and picks up on communication quickly. He even sits on command without any prior training! He doesn't have any known storm or separation anxiety, and he keeps his current kennel clean, suggesting he'll learn house-training quickly with consistent structure. While he's not thrilled about being confined, he is well-behaved in the car and walks nicely on a leash after an initial excited sniff of his surroundings. Wolfie is incredibly food-motivated, with a "no crumb left behind" mantra!

Wolfie would do best in an active home with a family or individual(s) who enjoy activities like hiking and are eager to engage with him.

Training & Support

Wolfie has never lived in a house before, so he will need some time to adjust to indoor living. A slow introduction to the home environment is recommended, and he should adjust well with patience. He is leash-trained and car-trained.
