This spirited 4-year-old, 17-pound Jack Russell/Dachshund mix might be compact, but he's packed with personality and overflowing with love. Boots arrived as a stray, bravely facing significant skin issues. Our veterinary team is working diligently with a dermatologist to uncover the root cause, and Boots has been an absolute champion throughout his treatment.

Ideal Home

Boots thrives in a calm, adult-only environment. He would do best as the sole pet in the home due to his prey drive and preferences.

Ongoing Health

Boots is currently on a specialized diet to support his skin and digestive health, which will need to continue in his forever home. He recently tested heartworm-negative and will require a follow-up check in 12 months to ensure his continued well-being.

Training & Support

While Boots is not yet house-trained and would benefit from guidance with leash manners, he is highly motivated by food and eager to build a strong bond with his human. Patience and experience will be key to helping him feel safe and loved.

• Adoption fees are variable and include up-to-date vaccinations, microchipping, and spay/neuter.
• We carefully select the best applicant for each dog based on their individual needs.
• For the safety of our small dogs, we do not place them in homes with large breed dogs.
