Trix is a 8-month-old, 35-pound, spayed female Pitbull mix with the sweetest, smartest soul, though she's a bit shy! She and her brother were surrendered to a shelter and Trix was the more reserved of the two. While her brother has found his home, Trix needed some extra time in foster care to build her confidence. She was significantly undersocialized early in life and her baseline is fear of humans, but she has never shown any reactivity, preferring to hide when unsure. She's a gentle soul who is very quiet and incredibly observant, picking things up quickly. Trix is smart and learns fast, like figuring out a doggy door in just a couple of days. With patience and trust-building, she begins to soften and may even surprise you by playing with toys when she thinks no one is watching, joining in with other dogs, or eventually cuddling up with her humans.
Ideal Home
Trix will need a home where someone is around more often than not, as she's still a puppy and building trust takes time and consistency. She is not a ready-made confident dog and requires patience, compassion, and commitment. She does well with other dogs after proper acclimation and would likely thrive with a confident canine companion. Adopters without another dog should have a thoughtful plan for socialization and confidence building.

Transporation
