Victoria is a approximately 5-year-old, 48 lb female Husky mix with a heart full of love to give! Victoria was found on the street, hungry and thirsty, and when she was still waiting for someone to help her upon her rescuer's return, she knew she had found her person. After receiving veterinary care and nourishment, she blossomed from a severely malnourished stray into a healthy, happy girl! She's incredibly grateful and confident, despite her past hardships. Victoria is sociable, noble with people, playful, and adores being petted. She has a beautiful smile and is truly adorable. She needs a little help with resource guarding and will need to eat in her crate to prevent any food-related squabbles with other pets. She's loyal, affectionate, and craves lots of love and cuddles. Victoria is crate and leash-trained.
Ideal Home
Victoria would thrive in a home with owners who have a fenced backyard and are active families that enjoy outdoor activities like hiking, long walks, or running. Ideally, you have experience with dog behavior and training, with high tolerance and patience for rescued animals. She is not house-trained.
Ongoing Health
Victoria is missing most of her teeth, with only 3 molars remaining, and has been spayed/neutered. She has received 2 DHPPI vaccines, a Rabies vaccine, and a Bordetella vaccine. She has also been dewormed and tested negative for heartworm. She is up-to-date on monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention (Nexgard Spectra). She has a health certificate and vaccination booklet.
Training & Support
Victoria is crate and leash-trained. She needs to eat in her crate to prevent her from taking food from other animals and potentially causing fights. As she is not house-trained, her new family will need to continue working on this.
