Nixie

Nixie is a sweet, wiggly 19-pound bundle of joy, estimated to be born around March 11, 2026. She was found as a stray puppy with her mom and littermates in California. Luckily, she was rescued and has settled into a foster home where she's blossoming! Nixie is a beautiful mix, possibly Border Collie and German Shepherd, and we think she'll grow to be around 45-50 pounds. She loves to cuddle with her human fosters and is mastering potty training and basic commands.

Ideal Home

Nixie is looking for a home that can provide her with the love and stability she deserves. She's a bit shy and active, so a home with children ages 12 and up would be best. She absolutely thrives with other dogs and will need a home with at least one friendly canine companion to help boost her confidence and show her the ropes. Nixie is also good with cats and has lived harmoniously with them in her foster home, showing no interest in pestering them.

Ongoing Health

Nixie has received two rounds of puppy vaccines and dewormer. She is microchipped and is current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee includes her spay surgery at one of our partner veterinary clinics. She will also receive a free wellness exam at a partner clinic.

Training & Support

Nixie is doing a fantastic job with her potty habits, learning from her canine housemates. She also sleeps through the night in her crate without issue. She walks nicely on leash and enjoys exploring the neighborhood.
