Fred is a perfectly sized Pit Bull mix with a sturdy, huggable frame and an even bigger heart. He's a big dog with an even bigger heart, but he's just the right size to be your go-anywhere companion.
Ideal Home
Fred would do best with a calm, confident dog sibling who respects his space or an easygoing buddy who speaks fluent dog. He prefers his social interactions to be low-key and sophisticated. Fred has a very clear message regarding feline friends: "No thank you!" He finds cats just a little too interesting to live with, so he's looking for a home where he can be the only apple of your eye. He's a fan of the cozy life and doesn't need a massive yard to be happy, just a comfy rug and a leash for his daily strolls. He's a refined walker who stays right by your side.
Ongoing Health
Fred is up-to-date on all vetting, including DAPP with booster, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines, multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments, is neutered, and has flea prevention and a 12-month heartworm preventative injectable. He has also had a heartworm test.
Training & Support
Fred is both crate trained and potty trained, making him a polite houseguest. He's been working on his leash manners and is a dream to walk, preferring a leisurely stroll. He's a sensitive soul who warms up quickly once he knows he's in a safe, loving place.

Fred is located in Texas and can be transported nationwide using our rescue run USDA certified transport system. Our transport includes drop-off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI and Canada. For Canadian adopters, pick up is in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT. You will have the opportunity to track their journey in real time. A $87 surcharge applies due to rising transportation costs. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
