Spike is a smart, silly, playful, and happy goofball who is just grateful to be alive! He was rescued from a high-kill shelter in West Texas and has been receiving treatment for heartworms and enjoying life with friends. Now, Spike is dreaming of finding his own forever family. He's good with other dogs, but he is a dominant boy, so he would do best as an only dog or with a more submissive canine companion. As a Husky, Spike is very active and needs a family who understands the breed's needs, especially since Huskies are known escape artists and shed a lot! He would love to escape the Texas heat and experience cooler weather. Spike is ready to find his person and bring joy to their lives.
