Meet Nola, a stunning and resilient Bluetick Coonhound born in January 2023. Nola's journey to finding her forever home is one of strength and kindness. She was found wandering the beaches of Bucerias, thin and weak, but thankfully, kind strangers offered her food. After a dedicated search by volunteers, she was rescued and found to be underweight, anemic, and battling Ehrlichia. She was later diagnosed with TVT, a treatable cancer. After receiving antibiotics, vaccines, and a full round of chemotherapy, this brave girl is now healthy, healed, and ready to share her grateful heart with a loving family. Nola is great on the leash and truly enjoys her walks. She has a typical Coonhound voice, so expect some baying and howling, which is all part of her charm!
Ideal Home
Nola would thrive in a home that appreciates her resilient spirit and is ready to shower her with affection.
Ongoing Health
Nola has been fully vetted and treated for Ehrlichia and TVT. She is now healthy and ready for her new life.
Training & Support
Nola is great on the leash. As she is a typical Coonhound, she will bay and howl, which is a normal part of her breed's communication.

Transportation
Nola is located near Bucerias, Mexico. Approved adopters will be matched with flight companions (flight angels) traveling from Puerto Vallarta. You will meet them at the airport to welcome your new pup home. During the summer months, it can be challenging to secure Canadian flight angels. In such cases, dogs may need to fly into the US and be picked up at Peace Arch Park at the border if a Canadian flight angel is unavailable. We have successfully completed many adoptions during the summer months with volunteers assisting in bringing dogs to adopters at the border.
