Meet Max de Fluff!

Max is a 1-year-old, 48-pound Doodle who is a big, goofy, bundle of puppy energy. He’s sweet, social, and wonderfully gangly — the kind of dog who keeps you smiling. Max does like to play with other dogs, but he needs gentle reminders that they might need breaks from his enthusiastic play. He can be a bit rough when playing with other dogs and might playfully nip at their legs. Because of this, proper introductions are key to ensure he learns to respect their cues and that everyone is a good fit. He hasn't met children yet, but older kids might be best, as he also likes to play rough with people, sometimes mistaking hands and arms for toys. When his play gets too boisterous, a short break in his kennel for a nap can help him calm down and avoid getting overstimulated.

Ideal Home

Max would do best in a home with a 6-foot physical privacy fence. This will allow him to safely burn off energy and focus on potty training without distractions. He’d love a playful dog sibling to help him expend some of his enthusiasm, but it's not a strict requirement.

Training & Support

Max is continuing to work on potty training and crate training, and he's making great progress! He sleeps through the night in his crate if he has a chance to potty beforehand, though he might need a quick potty break if he hasn't. He settles well in his crate once he can see his people. He eats his meals in his crate and has learned to wait patiently before coming out. Max is very treat-motivated and smart, so continuing his crate training and basic manners with patience and consistency will benefit him greatly. He has a strong drive to chase vehicles and climb chain-link fences, so the secure fencing is essential.
