Rico

Rico is an almost 2-year-old, 62 lb male Hound/Rottie mix with a heart full of hope and sweetness despite a rough start. He was left behind when his former family moved, but thankfully, neighbors and a loving foster family stepped in. Rico gets along wonderfully with his foster canine siblings, enjoying playful romps with these larger pups. While he might take a moment to warm up to new faces due to his past, he showers his foster family with cuddles. Rico is already potty and kennel trained and walks beautifully on a leash. He loves his toys and is a well-behaved indoor companion, enjoying time on the couch. Outdoors, he's a bundle of energy, eager to chase balls, play with bubbles, and romp with his dog friends. Rico has a slight limp or peculiar way of sitting due to a rear leg issue, but it doesn't hinder his joyful spirit or seem to cause him pain. This handsome boy dreams of a home with a fenced yard to explore and a devoted family to call his own.

Ideal Home

Rico would thrive in a home with a fenced yard where he can safely explore and lounge outdoors. He’s looking for a loving family to dedicate himself to.

Ongoing Health

Rico has a bum rear leg that causes him to sometimes limp or sit in a peculiar way. This does not appear to cause him pain and doesn't stop him from having fun.

Training & Support

Rico is potty and kennel trained and walks well on a leash. He is well-behaved indoors and is not destructive with his toys. He does take a bit of time to warm up to strangers.

Transporation

Rico is currently located in South Texas and will be transported to his new home. Our organization adopts within the United States and Canada and delivers to multiple states on the East and West Coast.
