Oreo is a handsome 3-year-old, 22-pound black and white Poodle mix with a soft, non-shedding coat. Like most Poodles, he’ll need regular professional grooming throughout his life, and thankfully he’s a great sport about it. Oreo is a calm, well-mannered companion who settles beautifully into his home routine. He’s happiest lounging near his people, going for leisurely walks, or proudly carrying around his favorite little football toy. He walks nicely on leash, is well-behaved in the home, and has an easygoing personality that makes him a joy to live with. Oreo is affectionate with both men and women and enjoys their company. He gets along well with other dogs and will tolerate cats, but we believe he would be happiest as the center of someone's world in a home where he doesn't have to share attention. While Oreo is about 90% the perfect dog, he does appreciate having his personal space respected in certain situations. He doesn’t like being unexpectedly picked up or physically moved. He responds much better to positive reinforcement, treats, and gentle redirection than physical handling. His foster family has learned what helps him feel comfortable, and consistency has allowed him to thrive. Oreo could also stand to lose a few pounds, so daily walks and sensible portions will help him reach a healthier weight while giving him an activity he genuinely enjoys. If you're looking for a devoted, calm, and handsome best friend who will happily settle into your daily routine, Oreo may just be your perfect match.
