Meet Sugar, a sweet 14-year-old Chihuahua who weighs just 9 pounds. She was surrendered to us a few months ago, and after some time, patience, and a lot of love from her foster mom, she has settled in beautifully and is now ready to find her forever home. Sugar may be one of the easiest, lowest-maintenance dogs we've ever had. She's not demanding at all, just a calm little companion who enjoys a soft bed, short walks, yummy treats, and a peaceful home. She spends most of her day snoozing happily, but a shake of the treat bag or the sight of a leash will perk her right up! She loves her short walks and is great about going outside to potty, having learned to use the doggy door quickly. While she isn't overly clingy, she has blossomed into a sweet, easy companion who simply wants to feel safe and loved.

Ideal Home

Sugar would do best in a quiet home where she can enjoy her golden years surrounded by kindness.

Ongoing Health

Sugar is fully vetted and had a dental completed earlier this year.

Training & Support

Sugar is house-trained and learned to use the doggy door quickly. She comes running back inside when her foster mom claps her hands.
