About Chela

Half Shepherd, Half Doberman, Full-Time Good Girl! Chela came straight outta the field like she was escaping a country song — part German Shepherd, part Doberman, and all heart. She’s about 10 months old, tipping the scales at a lean 40 pounds, which basically means she’s compact enough to fit in your lap but confident enough to think she runs your yard. This girl’s got social butterfly energy — the kind that can turn a pack of dogs into a conga line. She loves running, wrestling, and whatever game her canine buddies make up on the spot. She’s the kind of pup who’s happiest when her tail’s moving faster than your Wi-Fi signal. Chela’s confident, curious, and the definition of “goes with the flow.” She greets everyone like they’ve been friends since kindergarten and doesn’t know the meaning of “stranger danger.” Kids? She adores them. Other dogs? The more the merrier. Cats? Undecided — but probably fine once she figures out they don’t play tag. She’s still learning the finer points of house training, leash walking, and crate manners, but she’s eager to please and sharp as a tack — just needs a patient human who’s willing to laugh through the learning curve. Every rescue pup is a work in progress — and that’s the beauty of it. None of them come wrapped in a bow, ready-made or mistake-free. They come with stories, quirks, and hearts that have seen a lot but still choose to trust again. Adoption isn’t about perfection; it’s about presence. Showing up for them, every day, until they know they’re finally home. That's when you'll see them bloom — soft and steady — into the very best version of themselves. And somewhere along the way, you'll realize they were never the only one being rescued.

Ideal Home

Chela would love a home with another friendly pup to romp with, but she’s got enough sunshine in her to brighten any home. If you’ve got a yard, a sense of humor, and an extra spot on your couch — Chela’s ready to fill it. Homes with children 10 years and over are recommended.
