Chewbarka (NOT YET AVAILABLE)

Chewbarka is a 6-year-old, 9.4-pound male Shih Tzu who recently came into our care along with Miss Bee Haven and Butter Moon. Sadly, their elderly owner could no longer care for them. These sweet pups were clearly loved, and they're now getting cleaned up and checked by the vet. Chewbarka, along with Butter Moon, has some issues with his rear left leg, where he's not bearing weight. It looks like there are growths on his stifle joint, and Chewbarka's seems to have ruptured and scabbed over. Our vet will be taking a close look to figure out what's going on and the best course of action. Stay tuned for updates on this handsome boy!

Chewbarka is not yet available for adoption, and we are not yet accepting applications. We will update the listing when he is ready to find his forever home.

Ongoing Health

Chewbarka has some concerns with his rear left leg, specifically growths on his stifle joint. One of these growths appears to have ruptured and scabbed over. He will be receiving a veterinary examination to determine the extent of the issue and the necessary treatment.

Training & Support

As Chewbarka is a new intake, we are still learning about his individual needs and behaviors. We will provide more information on his training and support requirements once he has settled in and undergone his veterinary assessments.
