Tanner

Meet Tanner! He's a gentle and loving 3-and-a-half-year-old Pibble who melts hearts everywhere he goes. Tanner was rescued from a high-kill shelter in Los Angeles and, thanks to the dedication of some wonderful people, he made a multi-leg journey to New England. He's been safe and loved in foster care, and now he's ready to find his perfect, loving forever home.

Ideal Home

Tanner would thrive in a home where he can continue to learn and grow. He's shown to be sweet and gentle with children, other dogs, and humans. However, he can get overstimulated with too many dogs around him and would benefit from a home that understands he's still learning some social graces. He is about 60 pounds and strong, so a home with a little muscle to handle him would be ideal.

Ongoing Health

Tanner is a healthy boy with no known ongoing health conditions.

Training & Support

Tanner is house-trained and doesn't make messes in the house. He listens extremely well and yearns to please his humans. He knows the "Sit" command and is learning "All Done," "Easy" (for taking treats), and "Stay." He has made great progress working on leash manners and now pulls minimally. Given his background, Tanner would benefit from continued patience, understanding, and some positive reinforcement training to help him become the perfect dog.
