Lucy is a 5-year-old, 31 lb Australian Cattle Dog who is ready to find her forever family. She was a rescue from a difficult situation, living on a chain, but thanks to Kind Spirits Rescue Dogs Pet Lifeline, she's been spayed and is now learning what it's like to be loved and included. Lucy is a cute, smaller-sized Blue Heeler who is loyal, observant, smart, and generally easy-going, though she can be a little bossy with some dogs. She's a champion at fetch, enjoys affection without being needy, and has so far ignored cats. While she's potty, crate, and leash trained, and walks nicely and rides well in the car, she can be a bit peculiar around small dogs and may try to nibble the heels of dogs she doesn't care for – classic Heeler behavior! Lucy is also known for her dramatic side-eye when she's judging your life choices.
Ideal Home
Lucy would do best with someone familiar with herding breeds. She can be timid with new people and needs a little time to warm up.
Ongoing Health
Lucy is spayed, healthy, up to date on vaccines and preventions, and microchipped.
Training & Support
Lucy is potty trained, crate trained (she prefers to sit next to you), and leash trained. She's playful with most dogs but can be a little bossy or nip at heels if she doesn't like a dog. She's also a little weird around small dogs. Her typical Heeler behaviors include supervising, following her people, and giving side-eye.
