Meet Duke Doxie, a youthful 13-year-old "Low Rider" who's as adorable as can be! This handsome fellow weighs a sturdy 26 lbs and is believed to be a charming mix of standard Dachshund, Beagle, and Chihuahua, with perhaps a touch of magic! Don't let his age fool you; Duke is packed with personality and spunk. While he may be a little vision and hearing impaired, it certainly doesn't slow him down. He loves to romp with his foster siblings and has the most endearing little hop in his step as he explores the yard. Duke's previous owner loved him dearly and reached out to us when they could no longer care for him. We were so glad we could step in to save this sweet boy! He's now safe, sound, and ready for his forever home.
Ideal Home
Duke is dog and kid-friendly, but he's not a fan of cats.
Ongoing Health
Duke is up-to-date on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. He is heartworm negative and all dogs in our care are kept up-to-date on heartworm and flea prevention.
Training & Support
Duke's foster mom fell instantly in love, but she knows the best thing for him is a permanent home where he can live out his golden years.

- All known details about our animals are posted on their profile and updated daily. Other info will be discussed in detail with the foster during the application review process.
- Due to the high volume of introductions/questions received, we ask you to submit an application. That application can be used for any dog with us.
- The adoption fee for adult dogs covers age-appropriate vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter if not yet performed, heartworm test & appropriate heartworm treatment.
Transportation
Duke is currently in a foster home and can be transported to you.
