Tamera Honey is the sweetest family dog you'll ever meet! If you're looking for a dog who will shower you with affection, Tamera Honey is your girl. She's an "all-in" kind of dog with a love that will make you laugh and feel truly wanted. She's also amazing with kids, dog-friendly, and respectful around cats. Tamera Honey is believed to be a German Shepherd mix, around 12 years old and weighing 58 lbs. We can't guarantee her exact age or breed, but she definitely has some GSD in her! We'd love for her to go to a home with some GSD experience, where they understand their fun and independent spirit.
Ideal Home
Tamera Honey would thrive in a semi-active home where she can enjoy neighborhood walks, a bit of adventure, and lots of affection. A home with a backyard would be ideal for her to stretch her legs and hang out with you. Apartment living is not a good fit for her. She is wonderful with children, having been around kids as young as 7 and handling them with gentleness and patience.

Training & Support
Tamera Honey is a smart girl who is treat-motivated and eager to please. She already knows an impressive list of tricks, including sit, down, shake, spin, roll over, and speak! She walks fairly nicely on a leash, though she may pull with excitement, she responds well to gentle reminders. She is also crate trained and potty trained. With consistency and positive reinforcement, any additional training will be a fun and rewarding experience. Tamera prefers slightly slower introductions to new dogs before playtime. She enjoys mouthy play, nose boops, and chase games but is not a fan of roughhousing. She will give subtle corrections if play gets too intense, like an older sister setting boundaries.

Tamera is located in Texas. We facilitate nationwide adoptions using our rescue run USDA certified transport system, ensuring every pet travels safely and comfortably. Transport is available to drop-off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI and Canada. Canadian adopters can pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT. An $87 surcharge applies due to rising transportation costs. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
