Smokey is a 2-year-old, 60-pound male Cane Corso / Weimaraner mix who came to us as a stray. He's fully vaccinated, microchipped, neutered, and more than ready to find his forever family! Smokey is a very sweet boy who is eager for love and attention. He's incredibly smart and a fast learner with a submissive nature and not a mean bone in his body. Smokey is a laid-back, easygoing dog who loves to snuggle and enjoy quiet time. He's a total couch potato who's happy to relax with you all day! Smokey is a kind-hearted, affectionate, and loyal companion who just wants to be part of a family.
Ideal Home
Smokey would thrive in a home with a doggie companion, as he loves playing with other dogs and enjoys a good game of chase. He has a low to moderate energy level and enjoys playing with his canine friends but also loves cuddling up on the couch. Smokey would thrive in a low-traffic home due to his shyness with new people and would do best in a house rather than an apartment. He would love a home with someone who works from home or is only away for a few hours a day. Smokey would prefer a home without cats.
Ongoing Health
Smokey is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered.
Training & Support
Smokey is fully potty trained and only does his business outside. He is a quick learner and is easily redirected when he gets a little nervous around strangers or pulls slightly on the leash out of excitement. He does get excited in the beginning when meeting new people or dogs, but he settles in and walks calmly. Smokey is not a huge fan of being crated and prefers not to be shut in. He does have some separation anxiety and will cry for a bit when you leave, but he doesn't tear anything up and eventually stops crying. He does well if left to free roam.
