Meet Ruthie, a sweet mama who has finally earned her chance to be someone's baby. Ruthie came to us from a property with dozens of unvetted dogs. She had her litter of puppies in the dirt for their first few weeks of life. Life had clearly been focused on survival and motherhood, but despite everything, Ruthie has remained incredibly kind-hearted and loving. Since arriving in foster care, she has done a wonderful job raising her candy bar crew and watching over her puppies every step of the way.
Now that her puppies are old enough to begin finding homes of their own, it's finally Ruthie's turn. Estimated to be around 6 years old or older, Ruthie is ready to leave motherhood behind and enjoy the simple things in life: a soft bed, regular meals, belly rubs, and a family that loves her just because she's Ruthie. She has a gentle, sweet personality and enjoys being around her people. Ruthie isn't looking for excitement or adventure as much as she's looking for stability, comfort, and a place to belong. After spending years raising litter after litter, she deserves a home where she can simply be a cherished family member. Ruthie has already given so much in her life. Now we're hoping to find the family willing to give something back to her—a safe place to rest her head and spend the rest of her years surrounded by love.
