Meet Bear! This handsome 3-year-old German Shepherd mix, weighing in at 52 lbs, is looking for a fresh start and a loving family to call his own. Bear came to us after being surrendered and, while change hasn't been the easiest, he's showing us just how sweet and devoted he can be. He can be a bit shy when you first meet him, but with a little patience and a calm demeanor, his wonderful personality truly shines through. Once he feels comfortable, Bear loves to be around his people. He's been friendly with our staff, walks nicely on a leash, and already knows how to sit! He's just waiting for the right person to help him build his confidence. Bear has been waiting for 90 days and is now a Diamond Dog with a reduced adoption fee of $75!

Ideal Home

Bear would thrive in a calm and patient home where he'll be given the time, understanding, and encouragement he needs to feel secure and come out of his shell. He has done well with large breed female dogs, but a meet and greet is required for homes with existing dogs to ensure everyone gets along.

Ongoing Health

Bear is neutered, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccinations, and heartworm negative.

Training & Support

Bear already knows how to sit and walks well on a leash. He's eager to continue learning and building his confidence with guidance from his new family.

Transporation

Bear is located at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. We are open Monday-Friday from 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays from 9 am to 5 pm.
