Truffles

Truffles is a sweet and loving female dog, born in April 2015. She and her sister Capri were found abandoned at Lake Palestine in September 2015. Truffles is a possible Cocker Spaniel mix with a charming underbite and a cute stub tail. She initially seemed skittish around new people but has learned to trust with patience and treats, especially wagging her tail for attention. She enjoys playing with other dogs and is generally good with them, though she can be a bit particular about dominant female dogs. Truffles is crate trained and has shown herself to be social with people, including children, suggesting she had a loving owner in the past.

Truffles would thrive in a home where adopters understand her need for patience and gentle introductions to new people. She does best with dogs, but it's important to consider her preference for not interacting with dominant female dogs.

Truffles is spayed and vaccinated. She has an underbite and a stub tail, which are normal features for her.

Truffles is crate trained and has shown herself to be social with people and good with other dogs, with the exception of dominant females. She can be skittish around new people, so an adopter experienced in building trust with shy dogs through positive reinforcement and treats would be ideal.
