Nona is a delightful 1-year-old, 50 lb spayed female Staffie mix who is full of personality and ready to bring joy to her forever home. Currently fostering in Austin, TX, Nona is a confident and playful pup who is growing into herself beautifully. Her sturdy build and short legs make her a joy to watch as she zooms around the yard, and her enthusiastic greetings, complete with a happy wiggle and a flying leap, are sure to brighten your day. Nona is a sweet and affectionate companion who loves to be near her people, always happy to tag along for adventures. She's a clever girl who loves to learn and is highly motivated by toys and treats, making training a fun and rewarding experience.
Ideal Home
Nona would thrive in a home with a confident canine companion who is respectful of her space and enjoys playtime. She has done well meeting a child and we believe she'd do well in a calm home with respectful, well-mannered children who understand how to interact with an older puppy. She would also be perfectly happy as your one-and-only, soaking up all the attention.

Training & Support
Nona is crate-trained and doing great with potty training, but will benefit from continued reinforcement of her routine. She is continuing to work on her leash manners and can be a little shy around new sights and sounds, but she will alert you to anything unfamiliar. She has a playful streak and can get attached to her toys, so a canine companion who understands sharing would be ideal.

- Our process begins with an application. If we believe it may be a good match, we will reach out to schedule a phone interview, followed by a video call with the foster home.
- A virtual home visit, along with personal and veterinary reference checks, are required to complete the adoption process.

- We are a volunteer-run rescue and donate our time to help these dogs find homes. If you are not serious about moving forward with the adoption process, please do not apply.

Transporation
Nona is currently located in Texas and can be transported out of state when matched with an approved adopter. Transport is included in the adoption donation and runs every few weeks.
