Hi, I'm Mia! I'm a 3-year-old Terrier mix, weighing in at about 30 lbs. I was found wandering the streets of Oakley and brought to the shelter. Unfortunately, no one came to claim me, and I was very scared. Thankfully, I was rescued just in time and have been on a journey of healing and confidence in my foster home. I may take a little time to warm up and trust new people, but once I do, I form a deep bond. I absolutely adore women and children, and I'm wonderful with kids over 8. If there's a man in the home, he'll need to be patient with me, as I'm a bit timid but full of sweetness. I get along great with the cats in my foster home and love the company of other gentle and calm dogs. My favorite activities include lounging on laps, snoozing in my comfy bed with a chew toy, and playing in the cool water from a hose on a hot day! I'm house-trained and walk nicely on a leash. I'm also crate-trained and happy to sleep quietly on a dog bed in your room.
Ideal Home
I would thrive in a home with women and children over 8 years old. A patient and understanding man would be a great addition to my family. I would also love to have a confident, gentle, and calm dog friend to share my home with.
Ongoing Health
I am up-to-date on my vaccinations and have been spayed. I've also received flea and deworming treatment, along with any other medical or dental care deemed necessary by our veterinarian.
Training & Support
I am house-trained and walk well on a leash. I am crate-trained and can also sleep quietly on a dog bed. My past experiences have made me a bit shy, so patience and gentle reassurance will help me continue to build confidence.
