About Timber Tenderheart
Timberrrr... get ready to fall in love. Not in a loud, chaotic way... this Timber is more like a quiet love and suddenly a life you can't imagine living without her.
She's estimated to be around 4 years old and weighs 47 lbs. She looks like a perfectly petite pittie, but you know the drill, rescue rules apply, breed and birthday are our best guess. What we do know for sure is that she is an absolute dream to live with. She's currently fostered in a loving home where she's already proven to be easy, relaxed, and just a joy to have around. The kind of dog who makes this life easily better.
Timber has this soft, thoughtful way about her. She's incredibly loving with people, confident when meeting new friends, and just naturally gentle in everything she does. She takes treats so carefully it almost feels like she's being polite about it, and when she's excited, she does the cutest little tippy-taps with her front feet like she's celebrating the moment. It's easily one of those small things that ends up quickly becoming your favorite thing.
Her energy level is that sweet spot. She's happy to go for a walk, happy to hang out, happy to just exist alongside you. No chaos, no constant need for entertainment, just easy companionship. And to add to that ease, she is both house and crate trained!
With other dogs, Timber is respectful and socially smart, but she's not looking to join a puppy party. She prefers calm, easygoing dog friends and would do best in a lower-energy environment or even as your one and only. She will pass on life with pushy young dogs. When around them she is honest about her boundaries in a fair, appropriate way. She reads situations well and responds quickly to guidance, which makes her a really easy dog to live with.
She's been around children and showed herself to be incredibly tolerant and gentle. She's thoughtful, not reactive, and that emotional steadiness really shines through in everything she does.
On leash, she's easy and responsive, taking direction well and moving through the world with calm confidence. New environments don't phase her much, she takes it all in stride and just keeps going. She's not easily rattled, just quietly takes everything in and carries on. She has also been around cats and showed a nice balance of curiosity and respect. With a dog-savvy or independent cat who can set boundaries, she has a strong chance of doing well in a home with feline friends.
Timber is one of those rare dogs who just feels... easy. Steady, loving, and quietly special in a way we all hope for in a dog.
If you are here looking for a petite-pup-pal who will ease her way right into your heart and home...Timber is ready and waiting to fall right into place.
