Hershey

Hershey is a 3-year-old, 10-pound Miniature Poodle who is a bit shy at first but blossoms into a devoted companion. Once he feels comfortable, he'll be your shadow, always wanting to be near his favorite person. He's a gentle, sweet boy with a cute underbite that makes him smile. Hershey gets along well with other small dogs and has lived with cats. He's housebroken and would be a wonderful addition to a retired person's home or anyone looking for a friendly, active, low-shedding companion.

Ideal Home

Hershey would thrive in a home where he can receive plenty of companionship and attention. He needs a home with children over 12 years old. A meet and greet with any resident dogs is required to ensure a good match.

Ongoing Health

Hershey has had his initial vet check, is current on vaccines, and has been neutered. He is up-to-date on flea and tick preventative.

Training & Support

Hershey is working on his housebreaking and responds well to praise. He does need some brushing up on housebreaking but uses a dog door well.

Transportation

Hershey is located in Adams, NY. Foster-to-adopt homes must be within an 80-mile radius of Adams, NY, and Hershey must be brought to the local vet office for continued care until adoption. Once fully vetted, a radius of up to 150 miles is acceptable.
