Meet Tux Fancy Pants, the world's most dashing gentleman in a built-in tuxedo! With his shiny black coat, floppy ears, and a smile that could melt a glacier, Tux is the perfect blend of handsome, goofy, and heart-meltingly sweet. He's about a year and a half old, a Lab/Pitty mix (our best rescue guess!), and basically a walking ray of sunshine wrapped in fur. Tux is a lover, not a fighter; he is happiest when he is near his people and getting as many cuddles, belly rubs, and compliments as possible. He is a total snuggle bug who thinks being close to you is the best thing ever. You will often find him leaning his whole body against you for pets or flopping onto his back with his paws in the air, just begging for tummy scratches.
Ideal Home
Tux is hoping for a home with a fenced yard where he can stretch his legs, do his silly zoomies, and roll around in the grass. Apartments are not really his thing. He would thrive with patient, loving humans who think a little goofiness makes life better and possibly another friendly dog.
Ongoing Health
Tux is up-to-date on all vetting, which includes DAPP with booster, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, flea prevention, and a 12-month injectable heartworm preventative. He has also been tested for heartworms.
Training & Support
Tux is working on his leash skills and prefers open spaces over city sidewalks. Inside the house, Tux is pure gold. He is potty trained, sleeps through the night, and has the best manners once he's settled in.

Transportation
Tux is located in Texas and can be transported nationwide using our rescue-run USDA certified transport system. Drop-off locations include WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada (pickup in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). A $87 surcharge applies due to rising transportation costs. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
