Meet Blu!
Blu is a vibrant, approximately two-and-a-half-year-old Boxer/American Pitbull Terrier mix with a boundless energy, a big heart, and a beautiful brown brindle coat with white accents. She followed a kind soul home from the grocery store and has been spayed, vaccinated, and lovingly cared for since. Blu has shown gentle patience with senior pups and confident cats, and she's eager to belong to her own family and have a routine to call her own.
At 65 pounds, Blu is an affectionate, incredibly smart, and motivated-to-please pup. Her favorite pastimes include playing fetch with her frisbee, tug-of-war, chewing on yak cheese, and zooming around the yard. She also enjoys supervised enrichment like shredding soft toys and cardboard strips, which has successfully channeled her natural chewing instincts, and she hasn't chewed on anything off-limits in months. Blu knows an impressive list of commands and loves training, especially with treats and praise.
Ideal Home
Blu would thrive in a home where she can romp and play. An active family who enjoys an active lifestyle and has time to include her in their daily routine would be a great fit. A fenced yard is a big plus.

Training & Support
Blu is still working through her sensitivity to passing cars and men in baseball caps, but she's made steady progress with positive reinforcement. She can get excitable, sometimes resulting in jumping up and "cobbing," though her caregivers have worked on managing these behaviors. Regular mental and physical enrichment is essential to prevent destructive behavior when she is under-stimulated.
