Poppy Lou the Panda Bear Sweetheart

Poppy Lou is an approximately 8-month-old, 35 lb bundle of joy with a face that could melt anyone's heart. We believe she's a Lab/Pittie mix, but with rescue, breed and age are always a delightful mystery! She has the most endearing panda-bear markings, floppy ears that are simply irresistible, and a gentle, sweet nature that makes her utterly lovable. Poppy is a soft-spoken soul who enjoys being near her people and soaking up affection. She's not a hyperactive pup, but rather content to relax and enjoy the moment. Her gentle spirit is evident in how she interacts with the children (ages 3-16) in her foster home, as well as the other dogs she lives with. She's dog-friendly and enjoys respectful play and companionship. Poppy can be a little shy when meeting new people or in unfamiliar surroundings, but with a little time, her affectionate and loving personality truly shines.

Training & Support

Poppy is crate trained, potty trained, and walks fairly well on a leash. She is treat-motivated, knows how to sit, and takes treats very gently. Continued practice will help her build confidence as she grows.

Transporation

Poppy is located in Texas and transport is available nationwide. We have drop-off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI and Canada (pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). Please note there is an $87 surcharge for transportation. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
