Sarge is a handsome 1-year-old Shepherd mix who weighs approximately 70lbs. He has a medium energy level that could easily become high, so he'll need an active home! Sarge is a sweet boy who is looking for a committed adopter ready to help him learn about life in a home. He acts as though he's never lived in a home before, so he'll need extra patience and love as he gets over his anxieties and learns new things.
Ideal Home
Sarge will need a patient and dedicated adopter who can commit to working on potty training, crate training, and leash skills. He also needs continued socialization in a home environment. We are unsure how he would do with children, so a home without them would be best for now. We can test him with cats, and a meet and greet is required if you have other dogs.
Ongoing Health
Sarge has received a general veterinary check-up, has been treated for intestinal parasites, fleas, and ticks, and is up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations. He has also been microchipped. He is neutered.
Training & Support
Sarge needs help with potty, crate, and leash training. He also requires ongoing socialization to help him adjust to a home setting and overcome his anxieties.
