Toby is a delightful 1-year-old, 11lb French mix who is absolutely brimming with love, energy, and kisses! He thrives on active adventures like walks and runs, and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. Toby has a special soft spot for men, too! His journey to us was a tough one, having been abandoned and then hit by a car. He received much-needed care and is now healthy, though he can sometimes show bursts of anxious energy. What Toby truly needs is an active and patient family who can help him channel his joy through play, plenty of walks, and lots of love. He's loyal, affectionate, and eagerly waiting for his second chance at a forever home.
Ideal Home
Toby would thrive in a home with an active family who enjoys outdoor activities and has a tall, fenced backyard. He needs a family with a genuine intention to rescue and deeply understand the needs of street animals. Experience with dog behavior and training is highly valued, or a commitment to hiring a trainer to help this intelligent boy reach his full potential. High tolerance and patience for rescued pups are a must.
Ongoing Health
Toby has received comprehensive medical care including a spay/neuter certificate, DHPPI and Rabies vaccines, Bordetella vaccine, deworming, microchipping, a 4DX test, a negative heartworm test, monthly Nexgard Spectra preventive protection, and a health certificate. He has a vaccination booklet documenting all his treatments.
Training & Support
It's important to understand that Toby, like many rescued dogs, may not be house-trained. He may also require an adjustment period to settle into a new environment. Patience, understanding, and establishing a consistent routine with clear boundaries will be crucial in building trust and helping him feel secure.

- Upon approval, you'll sign the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee, which helps cover Toby's vet care, microchip, food, and more.
Transportation
Toby is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast on our next cross-country trip. We offer door-to-door delivery. A transport fee of $400 USD covers the journey. We organize 3-4 trips per year with a contracted transport company. You will receive real-time updates on Toby's journey, including photos and videos, and an estimated time of arrival.
