REX. a.k.a. Rexie the Bestie

Meet Rex, a.k.a. Rexie the Bestie! This bubbly, outgoing guy is a 68lb Black Lab mix with an estimated birthday in September 2020. Rex is tall, dark, and handsome, and he absolutely loves to run, play, and sit for treats. He lives for validation that he's a good boy and will shower you with guaranteed kisses 24/7! He's a snugglebug who thinks he's a lap dog, despite his nearly 70lb frame, and he easily climbs into laps for cozy cuddles. Rex was rescued as a stray and has had a tough start in life, but he's now ready to find his forever person or people to share all his love with. He's done exceptionally well at adoption events, even enjoying an Astro's watch party and dining out at a dog-friendly restaurant, where he was patient and happy to be with his human companions.

Ideal Home

Rex would thrive in a home where he can get plenty of attention and playtime. He is dog selective and friendly with proper introductions, so he would do best in a home with female dogs or as the only dog, with careful introductions if you have other dogs.

Ongoing Health

Rex is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered.

Training & Support

Rex is kennel and potty trained. He's a smart boy who loves to please, and with his outgoing personality, he's sure to be a quick learner.

Transportation

Rex is located in Houston, TX. Transport out of Texas is available to nearby towns or states, and services operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states. Adopters can track the transport van using the Life360 app and will receive updates.
