Proof You Can Be Handsome and Humble

Tuxie is a dapper 1-year-old, 50 lbs mixed breed boy who arrived at our rescue from the streets of Houston. He quickly settled into foster life, proving to be a social butterfly with dogs and humans alike. Tuxie is confident, gentle, and makes friends easily. He gets along wonderfully with his two foster siblings, a golden retriever and a pit bull, who consider him the best roommate ever. Tuxie has an old soul with a playful spirit. He's intelligent, eager to please, and a fast learner, already mastering commands like "sit" and "fetch," and working on leash manners. He has a low prey drive, so small animals and cats are not a concern. Tuxie is happiest in a home with another friendly dog and people who enjoy a good mix of active play and quiet companionship. He is fully potty-trained, rarely barks, and is ready to offer a lifetime of loyalty and belly rub appreciation. Tuxie is looking for a sweetheart, shadow, and sidekick to make his ordinary days feel a little brighter.

Ideal Home

Tuxie would thrive in a home with another friendly dog and humans who appreciate a balance of playtime and peace. Homes with children 10 years and over are recommended to ensure the best fit for both the pet and family.

Ongoing Health

Tuxie is a healthy boy and has no known ongoing health conditions.

Training & Support

Tuxie is learning leash manners, sit, and fetch. He is eager to please and a quick learner.

Transportation

Tuxie is currently being fostered in Texas and will be transported to his perfect forever home by our rescue. Transports depart weekly.
