Cookie is a gentle and loving Labrador mix who is approximately 2.5 years old and weighs 48 lbs. She has a sweet, loyal nature and enjoys being close to her people, bringing a calm and comforting energy to those around her. Cookie gets along well with other dogs and children, making her an excellent family dog. She can be a little nervous in new situations but warms up with patience and kindness, revealing her trusting heart. One of her favorite pastimes is watching the world go by, especially during car rides or quiet moments at home. Cookie was born under a ruined house during freezing temperatures, but despite her harsh beginning, she has grown into a resilient and loving dog ready for a safe, warm, and forever home.
Ideal Home
Cookie would thrive in a home with a fenced backyard and an active family that enjoys outdoor activities. Families should have an open conscience about the needs of rescued animals and be willing to provide protection and education. Experience with dog behavior and training, along with high tolerance and patience for rescued pups, is preferred.
Ongoing Health
Cookie has undergone spay/neuter surgery and received DHPPI, Rabies, and Bordetella vaccines. She has been dewormed, tested negative for heartworm, and comes with a health certificate and vaccination booklet.
Training & Support
Cookie is not house-trained and will require patience and consistency from her new family. The rescue team invests significant effort into the health and emotional rehabilitation of their animals, and while they cannot house-train each pet, they provide guidance to help new adopters succeed.

Transporation
Cookie is currently being fostered in Houston, Texas, and is ready to travel to the East Coast and the Pacific Northwest for adoption. A transport fee of $400.00, paid by the adopter prior to departure, will cover the service provided by a transport company.
