Shadow Mini Hershey Kisses

Meet Shadow! This 1-year-old, 45-pound bundle of black lab and pitbull mix is eager to be your best friend. From the moment she arrived, Shadow has been all about affection, leaning in for love and rewarding every pet with a wagging tail and puppy kisses. She's a playful pup who enjoys a good game of tug-of-war with her toys and can happily entertain herself. When it's time to relax, she's just as happy to cuddle up for some well-deserved booty scratches. Shadow is treat-motivated and already knows how to sit, making training a fun and rewarding experience. She's still learning about the world and building her confidence, but with the right guidance, she's sure to thrive and become the light of your family.

Ideal Home

Shadow would love a home with a yard where she can play, but she could also do well in an apartment if she receives proper exercise and enrichment. She enjoys playing with other dogs, but tends to do best with calm, medium-energy pups, as very high-energy dogs can be a bit overwhelming. A cat-free home is recommended, as Shadow can get a little too playful with felines. Because she's still a bouncy and playful puppy, older children would be the best fit.

Training & Support

Shadow is potty trained and walks well on a leash for 10-20 minutes. She knows simple commands and is eager to learn more. She is still working on her leash manners, which is typical for her age and will improve with time and consistency.

Shadow is located in Texas. Wags facilitates adoptions nationwide using their USDA-certified transport system. This includes drop-off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, and Canada (with pick-up options in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). A $87 surcharge applies for transportation. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
