Meet Loki, a charming 3-year-old Terrier mix who weighs around 11 pounds. With his handsome wire-haired coat and sweet disposition, Loki is on the lookout for a devoted best friend to share his life with. He's a calm and well-mannered boy who enjoys staying close to his people and loves car rides, watching the world go by. Loki is good with dogs, children, men, and women, making him a versatile companion.
Ideal Home
Loki would thrive in a home with an active family who enjoys the outdoors. He needs a family that is truly committed to rescuing a dog, understanding the unique needs of street animals and providing them with the protection and education they deserve. Ideally, his new family will have experience with dog behavior and training or be willing to hire a professional trainer to help this intelligent pup reach his full potential. A high level of tolerance and patience for a rescued dog is essential.
Ongoing Health
Loki has received extensive veterinary care, including being spayed/neutered, vaccinated for DHPPI and rabies, dewormed, and microchipped. He has tested negative for heartworm and 4DX, and is on monthly preventive protection with Nexgard Spectra for fleas, ticks, and heartworm. A health certificate and vaccination booklet are available.
Training & Support
Loki is not house-trained and may need time to adjust to a new environment. Patience and understanding are crucial, as he can be a bit nervous and cautious when meeting new people. He needs a little time to feel safe and build trust. Once he warms up, his sweet personality truly shines. He enjoys affection, being petted, and carried, and is happy to walk quietly beside his person.

Transporation
Loki is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast on our next cross-country trip. We offer door-to-door delivery for an additional transport fee of $400 USD. We organize 3-4 trips per year with a contracted transport company that collects adopted pets in Mexico and brings them across the border into Texas for US adoptions. For Canadian adoptions, pets are delivered to the nearest US-Canada border. You'll receive real-time updates via a private Facebook Messenger group throughout the journey.
