Augusta is a striking five-and-a-half-year-old American Pitbull Terrier/German Shepherd/Labrador Retriever mix who is intelligent, devoted, and ready to be your loyal companion. Weighing 62 pounds, she's strong, sturdy, and full of energy. With her beautiful tricolor coat and deep brown eyes, Augusta is a true head-turner with a happy, boundless personality!

Ideal Home

Augusta would do best as the only pet in an adult-only home with a guardian who has experience handling high-energy dogs and is committed to maintaining her progress. She thrives with an active lifestyle and would do well in a home where she can enjoy physical exercise and mental enrichment.

Training & Support

Augusta is a training graduate who has mastered several commands and heels nicely on a leash. She is also crate-trained. She has made great strides in training and has the capacity to learn even more. When she was first found, Augusta was unsure of the world and often stepped into the role of protector, which sometimes made her defensive. In one instance, when she felt uncertain, she reacted by nipping a neighbor on the ankle. However, with time, structure, and trust, her behavior has transformed. She now responds beautifully to guidance and routine! Because of her sensitive nature, Augusta would do best with an attentive pet guardian who understands how to manage her interactions and provide ongoing structure. With patience, use of commands, and a consistent routine, Augusta will transition easily into a home where she receives attention and love.
